In My Mailbox (67)

In my mailbox was started by Kristi (The story siren) and inspired by Alea (Pop Culture Junkie). It is a way to share the books we receive each week in our mailbox or books you've bought or find in the library.
I bought two books at my local bookshop yesterday (that's why they are in french) :

Concerto à la mémoire d'un ange by Eric Emmanuel Schmitt. He is one of my favorite french author. I've heard really good things about this book. It's actually short stories and he won a prize for it (Goncourt). I've always wanted to read it but the book was pretty expensive. It just came out in a smaller paperback version and the price went down too so I finally bought it. And i'm glad I waited for this version because I love the cover. Eric Emmanuel Schmitt is going to do a book signing in my city next month. It'll be my fourth book signing with him I can't wait !
La danseuse et le roi by Anne Marie Pol. I met Anne Marie Pol last week end at Paris book fair and she talked about her newest book La danseuse et le roi which is a book about dance and ballet but in an historical context (Louis XIV). It's a middle grade book but I wanted to read it anyway. I've always loved Anne Marie Pol books when I was little.

This is my IMM from last week. It's a little late sorry. I received 2 books last week and bought 1 :
Waterful by Lisa T Bergren. This is an historical book based in 16 century Italy. I'm going to read it with Elodie next week !
The Traitor in the tunnel by YS Lee : This is the third book in The Agency series. I already read this one and my review will be on the blog in a few days.
Contes et légendes de Brocéliande : As you can see it's a french book. It bought it at Paris book fair and it's an anthology of short stories around the forest of Brocéliande. This forest is one of the basis of the Arthurian literature and i'm such a huge fan of all these legends !

Yes I'm weak I've bought two books again :

Poison Study by Maria V.Snyder. A blogger talked about this book in one of her vlog. She read Grave Mercy (a book that I can't wait to read) and she wanted to read more books like this one. So she read Poison Study and was recommending it. I saw on goodreads that there was a lot of positive reviews. This is the book that i'm currently reading.

Souls screamers Vol 1 by Rachel Vincent. I've always wanted to start this series because I heard really good things about it. And when I saw this book was only 6 euros I decided to buy it. This is a copy with the first novella and the two first book in it.

The body at the tower by YS Lee. This is the second book in the Agency series. I read the first one a week ago (you can find my review on my blog and goodreads) and really enjoyed reading it. And this cover is even better than the first one ! I love her dress and Big Ben in the background and blue is my favorite color so all of this is just perfect. This is the next book that i'm going to read.

This week I only got one book but i'm really excited to read it :
The Woman in Black by Susan Hill.
Horror/gothic books are not my kind of books normally but I wanted to read this one before seeing the movie. Yes i'm a huge fan of Daniel Radcliffe so I don't want to miss this movie. And that's also why I bought this copy with his face on the cover (haha i'm ridiculous I know). I'm going to read it this week but I still have time because the movie is going to be released only in March in France.

And you what did you got in your mailbox this week? :)

This week I received two books :

A little princess by Frances Hogson Burnett : This book is my childhood. I read it a long time ago and I watched the movie at least 20 times.

Anne of Green Gables & Anne of Avonlea by LM Montgomery : It's book 1 & 2 in the series. I love this cover it's so cute ! I heard good things about this book on goodreads.

These two books are "children" books. So I think I might do a little "children books" challenge at the end of february or beginning of march or even later I don't know yet. A children books challenge with these three books and also Little Women that I wanted to reread for quite a long time. I'll be very nostalgic while reading them for sure :).

And you what was in your mailbox this week?

Fracture by Megan Miranda. My first ARC ever ! And again I received this book thanks to Ingrid !! This book came with a little bookmark made by her with my name on the front and a quote by CS Lewis on the back. Thanks again you're SO nice ! I heard a lot of mixed reviews about this book so I can't wait to see if i'm going to like it.
Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare. I was so pissed because I thought I was going to read this book during my christmas break but the book depository lost my copy ! Anyway I read it in January after my finals. This book is awesome ! My review will be on the blog this week.

I also won thanks to Laura a Blood Magic bag. It's a really cool bag I need to buy and read the book now !

I also received a postcard signed and personalized by Beth Fantaskey thanks to Vignada. I met Vignada at a booksigning in 2010 and I saw her again at another booksigning in 2011. I wanted to go to the Montreuil book fair last december to see Beth Fantaskey then it wasn't possible but Vignada made Beth signed something for me. Thanks again it's so sweet <3.
