January 2012

I decided this year to do a monthly post where I'm going to talk about the books that I read each month in 2012.
I only read 6 books this month.I'm not proud because last year in January I had read 12 books. But I couldn't read during the first week of January because I had finals. And then most of the books that I had to read were college books.

I only read two books "for myself" :

Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare.
I gave  it 5 stars and you can see my review on the blog here. It's the second book in The Infernal Devices series which is the prequel to The Mortal Intruments series I can already say that it's one of my favorite book of 2012. I loved it !

Le dernier hiver by Jean-Luc Marcastel
I gave it 4 starts and you can see my review on the blog here. It's a dystopian french book. I read it just before meeting the author at my local bookshop you can read more about this day here.

Then I read 3 books for school :

The scarlet letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne.
I gave it 4 stars and you can see my review on my goodreads profile. I really liked the story and especially Nathaniel Hawthorne writing. I'm glad that we're studying it in class even if it's only for 3 weeks.

The Catcher in the rye by J.D Salinger
I gave it 5 stars and you can see my review on my goodreads profile. I've already read this book in french two years ago but it was even better in english. I think it's one of my favorite book.

Sleepy Hollow and Rip Van Winkle by Washington Irving
I gave it 3 stars and you can see my review on my goodreads profile. I was surprised by this book. Actually they are 2 really short stories.

A streetcar names desire by Tennesse Williams
I gave it 3 stars and you can see my review on my goodreads profile. It's theater and I read it pretty quickly end enjoyed it especially Blanche's character.
