I saw this over at Ten Cent Notes, Perpetual Page Turner was the first to post this last year and I wanted to do it again this year too! The one I did last year is over here. I know i'm really late since it's already 2012 but as I've said in my last IMM I couldn't post something before because of finals ! I'm sorry because for a lot of things I couldn't just choose one book. I'm quite proud because in 2011 I read 95 books !
Best Books of 2011: Graceling by Kristin Cashore. The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa. Nevermore by Kelley Creagh. Darkness Falls by Cate Tiernan. Divergent by Veronica Roth.
Worst books of 2011 (1stars books) : Halo by Alexandra Adornetto and Dark Lover by JR Ward.
Most Disappointing Books of 2011 (2 stars books) : Afterlife by Claudia Gray. A great and terrible beauty by Libba Bray. Wicca by Cate Tiernan. Nightshade by Andrea Cremer. The summer I turned pretty by Jenny Han. Forgotten by Cat Patrick. The body finder by Kimberley Derting. The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong. Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins. Infinite Days by Rebecca Maziel. Daughter of smoke and bone by Laini Taylor and a few others...
Yeah I know... I read 95 books this year but I was disappointed by a lot of them.Best Series You Discovered in 2011: The succubus series by Richelle Mead. This author is a genius. Vampire Academy is my favorite YA series. I read the first three books of the succuus series this year and loved them !
Favorite New Author Discovered in 2011: Veronica Roth. I read a few posts from her blog and it was so inspiring !
Most Anticipated Book of 2011: Bloodlines by Richelle Mead (in august). City of fallen angels by Cassandra Clare (in April). Lola and the boy next door by Stephanie Perkins (in september).
Favorite Cover of a Book You Read in 2011: Eyes like stars by Lisa Mantchev. Once a witch by Carolyn McCullough.
Most Memorable Character in 2011: Puck from the Iron Feys series by Julie Kagawa and Po from Graceling by Kristin Cashore. I love them <3.
Most Beautifully-Written Book of 2011: Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma. So heartbreaking. When a book makes me cry it means that it's beautifully-written.
Book That Had the Greatest Impact on You in 2011: Where she went by Gayle Forman. Probably my favorite contemporary novel of 2011.
Book You Can't Believe You Waited Until 2011 to Read: Graceling by Kristin Cashore. I heard so much praise about this book since at least 2009.
Best Event You Participated In During 2011: Paris book fair in March 2011. Cate Tiernan and Maggie Stiefvater signing at Mollat in Bordeaux in september 2011.
