Sweep volume 1 by Cate Tiernan

Rating : 2 / 5

Goodreads : The first three Sweep books bound into one gorgeous edition at a fabulous price! Morgan Rowlands never thought she was anything other than a typical sixteen-year-old girl. But when she meets Cal, a captivatingly handsome coven leader, she makes a discover that turns her whole world upside down: she is a witch, descended from an ancient and powerful line. And so is Cal. Their connection is immediate and unbreakable; Cal teases out Morgan's power, her love, her magick. But Morgan discovers too soon that her powers are strong - almost too powerful to control. And she begins to suspect that Cal may be keeping secrets from her . . . secrets that could destroy them both.

My review : I wanted to read this book because I'm going to meet Cate Tiernan at a book signing in september but I was really disappointed... I really didn't like it and was bored most of the time when I was reading it. But I think maybe I would have like it more if I had read it when I was younger (because I was in a huge wicca period with Charmed and all that stuff ^^). I read it pretty fast because the writing is very fluent but I also found the writing too... I don't know easy? It wasn't really well-written. I was bored sometimes because there wasn't a lot of actions. The plot line was also again pretty easy. I found really fast that she was adopted. The characters aren't really interesting either. And the relationship between Cal and Morgan was just too much. I felt nothing about them ! And their instant connection and love especially from Cal was really weird (and the end confirmed it). I don't think i'm going to read the other books in the series even if I wanted to know more about Hunter.
