Afterlife by Claudia Gray

Rating : 2 / 5

Goodreads : When Bianca chooses death over becoming a vampire, she doesn’t realise that another life lies in store…
The fourth and final novel in the internationally best-selling EVERNIGHT series – a vampire romance with a shocking twist.
Bianca and Lucas have always believed they could endure anything to be together. When a twist of fate not only transforms Bianca into a wraith but also turns Lucas into a vampire – the very creature he spent his life hunting – they are left reeling.
Haunted by his powerful need to kill, Lucas can turn to only one place for help… Evernight Academy. But with the vampire leader of Evernight waging war on the wraiths, Bianca’s former home has become the most dangerous place she could be, despite the new powers her ghostly transformation has given her. A battle between wraiths and vampires looms, and Bianca and Lucas face a terrifying new reality. Is their love strong enough to survive after life?

Review : I'm so disappointed... Evernight is one of my favorite vampire series and I've been waiting for the fourth and final book for a year now and it was a big disappointment. I mean... WHY DID YOU WRITE THIS CLAUDIA GRAY !!!???? Was the author feeling bored of the series???  Be careful there will be spoilers of the first three books in the series in this review.
I would have liked that the series ends at the death of Biance in the third book. In the second part of Hourglass I didn't really like all this ghost stuff and Bianca becoming one but I decided to see how things will develop in Afterlife and... it was even worse. I definitely preferred the previous novels in the series. It was light-years away from where the first book started...
About the characters : I am so not keen on the whole ghost thingy. Bianca is so changed... I really didn't buy it and hated it! And Lucas was just now an ordinary guy, like, this whole plot wasn't working. I wasn't interested in him at all because half of this book was about Lucas controlling his hunger which was so damn boring! Their relationship was a total flop and I wasn't feeling it the way I did when I read the previous books.
The only good point of this book is Balthazar.
I love Balthazar! I just kept reading this book because of him. He was perfect. He was hot and he was everything I want and I am so damn happy that he is going to be in the next installment without Bianca being involved in it I can't wait to read it !
And I also like Ranulf and Vic friendship they are funny :).
About the plot  it was so slow going and almost painful to read. I was bored and I had the impression that I was reading some really bad fanfiction..
And the end is so cheesy... it's exactly the king of end that I despise.
EPIC FAIL :(.

  2. No no no what are you saying!? I'm currently reading it and so far I like it. You'll be able to see my review this month. But you're scarying me... The thing is, I like the ghost part even if sometimes I want to kick Bianca's ass because she's really annoying!
