My review : Well I need to be honest. I'm very disappointed. I didn't like this book. I didn't want to read it when I first heard about it because I don't like this genre... so I knew this book wasn't for me. But I decided to buy it because of two reasons. First I love Julie Kagawa. I love her iron feys series and I wanted to read this new book and see how is her writing outside of this series. And then I bought it because she announced on her blog that it was going to be a movie so I was really curious about The Immortal Rules. But yeah I regret it now... It's so different from the iron feys series. As I've just said I don't like science fiction, dystopian or post-apocalyptic books ect... I just can't escape in a genre like that. I felt trapped in this dark atmosphere and I didn't enjoy reading this book. When I read books it reflects on my mood and I didn't feel well reading this one. I wasn't hooked at all and I didn't care for any of the characters. The plot was really slow and that's not a good thing since the book is 500 pages. A lot of actions were useless. I really wanted to stop reading... Some parts of the plot were too easy and cliché sometimes. For example why and when she is transformed. The rabids are like zombies and I just hate zombies in books, movies ect...
But I did like some things in the book. I liked that Julie Kagawa gave a realistic view of the vampires. I agree that Julie Kagawa has created an original story with vampires and that's something since there is so many vampires books that are the same now but it's not a story that I can appreciate.  The only characters that I found interesting was Kanin. I wanted to know more about him and the cure ect... But anyway I think i'm not going to read the rest of the series.
The only good thing about this book is the first chapter of the Lost Prince at the end !
