Book Trailers (1)

I wanted to start a little meme this year. I know i'm a little late since we're already inn March but anyway ! So now every saturday i'm going to talk about a / or several books trailers. I love book trailers. Some are really bad but others just fit perfectly to a book and are really inspiring.

This week I wanted to choose the book trailer for Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood. Born Wicked is a 2012 debut novel  that came out last month and the first book in the Cathill Witch Chronicles series. I loved this book which is one of my favorite book of February 2012. I gave it 5 stars and my review will be up on my blog monday. This book is a kind of mix between historical (set at the end of the 19 century) and fantasy and it is about witches.

I kind of like and don't like this book trailer.
I like the music, the image, the dress. This is a really good quality video.
I also really liked the feathers reference because it's one of my favorite passage in the book. The kissing part of this video is perfect for the kissing scene in the book.
But I didn't like that this video is focused so much on the romance because even if it's a part of the book Born Wicked is not just centered on the romance. If I had watched this book trailer before reading theis  book I would have thought that Born Wicked could be a book centered on romance and maybe a little too cheesy and I don't know if I would have bought it.
I would have liked that the trailer focus more on their nature of being witches.
I'm also disappointed because I didn't picture Finn like the guy in the video. Finn is supposed to have always messy hair and in this video the guy has really short hair. He is also supposed to have freckles and glasses. But i'm maybe too difficult. 

But anyway I really like this book trailer :).
