HAPPY NANOWRIMO !!!
So for those who don't know :
National Novel Writing Month (also known as NaNoWriMo is an annual internet-based creative writing project which challenges participants to write 50,000 words of a new novel between November 1 and November 30.
Yeah I know as if I wasn't enought busy with college and tons of other stuff !
I tried doing NaNoWriMo last year but failed and just wrote 20,000 words. Now I really hope I can write more because NaNoWriMo really motivates me !
This year I really like my novel idea. Actually I had the idea last saturday just in time for NaNo !
As Maggie Stiefvater for The Scorpio Races that I just read I wanted this year to write the novel that I've always wanted to read.
I don't think i'm going to write 50,000 words this month and finish this novel once and for all but I'm happy to start writing it for NaNo and then i'm going to continue during the year.
So the title is The legend spreads. But i'm not sure of it yet, I think this title is going to change and it's not going to be the same in french. Beacause yes I write my novel in french !
Here is a short synopsis (that will also change when I'll start writing) :
It is set in Bretagne (France). Emilie is moving in Bretagne, she now lives with her grandmother near Brest and she's going to start school. But as soon as she arrives in Bretagne she starts seeing and hearing things... Things related to the arthurian myth. She is in the middle of a prophecy happening on Samhain that will change her world.
It's about Fantasy, love triangle, arthurian myth, celtic legends...

ReplyDeleteLe premier jet de mon roman faisait 100 000 mots (environ) et j'ai mis un an et demie pour l'écrire XD (en même j'y suis un peu allé au petit bonheur la chance et tout l'histoire ne s'est réellement formé qu'au fur et à mesure ) Mais bon maintenant j'ai appris de mes erreurs =p
Oui je compte bien le faire publier un jour ;) Comme Maggie j'ai voulus écrire LE livre que j'ai toujours voulus lire. Le titre est Little miss death (je trouvais pas de titre français approprié) un mélange entre fantastique, drame, horreur (et un peu de romance XD)
ReplyDeleteC'est le premier tome d'une trilogie racontant l'histoire d'un groupe d'adolescents se retrouvant confrontés à une nouvelle élève aux pouvoirs surnaturels, qui semble bien décidée à vouloir les tuer. Leurs amitiés et leurs croyances seront mises à rudes épreuves par les sombres objectifs de cette fille.
Dit comme ça, ça fait cliché mais la suite de l'histoire se démarque plus (mais bon je peux rien dire XD)

ReplyDeleteOoh, sounds very interesting! I'm trying to do Nanowrimo this year too, again! I've never managed to get the full word count before, but this year I'm trying to do it slightly differently with the planning, and I hope this will help me to just get more words down on the page.
