13 little blue envelopes by Maureen Johnson

Rating : 3 / 5

Goodreads : When Ginny receives thirteen little blue envelopes and instructions to buy a plane ticket to London, she knows something exciting is going to happen. What Ginny doesn't know is that she will have the adventure of her life and it will change her in more ways than one. Life and love are waiting for her across the Atlantic, and the thirteen little blue envelopes are the key to finding them in this funny, romantic, heartbreaking novel.

My review : I've read this book on my computer. It was in April a free ebook on Amazon. So thanks amazon !

It was a cute and quick contemporary book but not a memorable one. This book was a little unrealistic. Who would let their 17 year old daughter travel across Europe, alone and without money? And where were the parents? Hardly any mention of them at all... And she has few money, no cell phone, no internet... Ginny is ok with everything her aunt told her to do in letters... it was a little too big sometimes. But I can also see the values of this story through that !
I really enjoyed following Ginny on her journey across Europe. I would love to visit some of the places she went. I'm going in London this summer so I was very excited when she was there ! And I would have loved be there with Keith from the book ;).
The ending was a bit predictable but it had to happen somehow!
It was charming, witty, original, and poignant but i'm happy that i've read this book for free and I don't think i'm going to read the sequel...
I recommend this book to anyone who likes to travel or want a quick summer read.
