Goodreads : After years of frequent moves following her mother’s death, Chloe Saunders’s life is finally settling down. She is attending art school, pursuing her dreams of becoming a director, making friends, meeting boys. Her biggest concern is that she’s not developing as fast as her friends are. But when puberty does hit, it brings more than hormone surges. Chloe starts seeing ghosts–everywhere, demanding her attention. After she suffers a breakdown, her devoted aunt Lauren gets her into a highly recommended group home. At first, Lyle House seems a pretty okay place, except for Chloe’s small problem of fearing she might be facing a lifetime of mental illness. But as she gradually gets to know the other kids at the home–charming Simon and his ominous, unsmiling brother Derek, obnoxious Tori, and Rae, who has a “thing” for fire–Chloe begins to realize that there is something that binds them all together, and it isn’t your usual “problem kid” behaviour. And together they discover that Lyle House is not your usual group home either…
My review : I liked the atmosphere it made me think o the tv show supernatural especially when she is seing dead person. But half of the book is pretty long without much actions. The characters are not very developed. The explanations about all supernaturals gave by Simon is just too easy. The plot is not going very well.
But also time seems very long. It seems that she was in Lyle House a while ago but only a few days has passed. It's also weird that there is so few patients in this group house... Simon and Dereck are pretty weird too. Their plan about leaving seems very childish.
But I liked that she is passionate abut something in her case cinema and it makes me think of Anna and the french kiss. I liked all the creepy and gore scenes and even if sometimes the writing is weak. The descriptions of Lyle House or when she is raising the corpses felt really real so it was quite captivating. But most of the novel did move little slow. I was intrigue with Derreck tough he was one of the good point of this book.
I liked all the mysteries of Lyle House and the reason they had been there I was curious to know more about it. I liked the end there was a lot more actions so maybe the second book is better but I don't think I'll buy it. Even if I didn't enjoyed I think it's one of those book that could be awesome as a movie or a tv show but here I wasn't hooked by the writing. But I still can't wait to meet Kelley in a few weeks :). I also have a copy of Bitten do you read this one guys? What do you think of it?

Dommage que tu n'es pas trop aimé. Moi je l'ai dans ma TBR pile et j'ai trop envie de m'y mettre!
